Overview
The University of Idaho cooperates with Washington State University in a program of veterinary medical education, research, and service. When accepted into the cooperative program, students from Idaho take the first three years and most of their fourth year of professional training in veterinary medicine at Washington State University. Idaho students seeking to enter the professional program must apply through the Veterinary Medical College Application Service (VMCAS)—the centralized application system for accredited veterinary schools in the U.S—by choosing Washington State University. In addition, Idaho applicants must secure certification of Idaho residency status by completing and submitting the appropriate residency certification forms available through the University of Idaho Admissions Office.
