Upon completion of the Outdoor Recreation Leadership Certificate, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate leadership and facilitation skills for guiding individuals and groups in outdoor and adventure recreation settings.
- Apply principles of conservation, natural resource management, and recreation ecology to promote sustainable outdoor practices and responsible land use.
- Exhibit technical competencies and safety skills across a range of outdoor activities (e.g., wilderness medicine, climbing, paddling, skiing, expedition leadership).
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively in diverse professional contexts, integrating ethical decision-making and risk management into outdoor leadership and recreation resource management practice.
